The Star Altar is an original work of collectible functional art designed to become a quiet presence within the home. Created as both a sculptural side table and a personal altar, it naturally adapts to everyday life—holding a morning coffee, a favourite book, fresh flowers, candles or the meaningful objects that accompany daily rituals.

Entirely handcrafted in Bulgaria from solid pine wood, every element is shaped, assembled and painted by hand. Flowing across the tabletop is an original language of light—hand-painted symbols created as gentle reminders of clarity, awareness and inner presence. Rather than serving as decoration, they invite moments of stillness and encourage a more conscious relationship with the objects and rituals that surround us.

Hidden beneath the tabletop hangs a small Chan bell. More than a decorative element, it introduces a simple ritual of intention. Before placing something upon the table, the bell may be gently rung as a symbolic blessing for whatever follows. Whether it is a cup of coffee, a candle, fresh flowers, a treasured object or a heartfelt conversation, the sound marks a conscious beginning and transforms an ordinary moment into something quietly sacred.

Craftsmanship

Each The Star Altar begins as a handcrafted solid pine structure before receiving layers of paint, texture and symbolic expression, all applied entirely by hand. Every symbol is individually painted, allowing subtle variations and the natural character of the handmade process to remain visible.

The suspended Chan bell is carefully integrated beneath the tabletop, becoming an essential part of the piece rather than an ornament.
